House water pressure too high?
The kind of smoke bombs they throw.....mine is super high that in many instances ,i do not even need a pressure jet cleaner...no such problems for me...at least!๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†
No idea. Came and checked say pressure higher than normal. ( close to 5 bar? Where they say normal is 3 bar) ( can't remember the unit of measurement). Swapped out the pressure relief valve, still dripping when the heater is heating. No choice have to put tube and flow out somewhere instead

I think it depends on how the pipes is run in your house. Using water heater means you have a mixer that mix hot water from tank and house running water. Assuming you turn your mixer to middle, half hot half cold then the pressure is contributed half by the tank and half by the running water.. some old HDB, the running water is used at many place before reaching the last toilet so the pressure becomes very low .

Wah ya leh. My common toilet water got hot and cold water. My is a new hdb flat.
But my water tank is also placed at the common toilet leh... shouldnโ€™t my common toilet be the first to get the water and hence, should have higher water pressure?
Anyway, no way to resolve it right?

Your mixer and shower set is the same for both toilets?

As in the water tank goes to both common and master toilet? Haha yes leh.
I have two shower sets in each toilet. But I can never figure out why common toilet pressure is lower.
And I even bought the same shower set and same tap for both toilets, so I donโ€™t think is the tap/shower set problem.

And there are no taps / valves to regular the flow ya?
I figured out that there are two valves to the tap.
If I close both valves, there would be no water (duh)

if I open both valves, I get the โ€œnormalโ€ little water.

if I close the right valve and open left valve, the volume or pressure of water stays the same (ie the โ€œnormalโ€ little water- same as if I open both valves.)

If I close the left valve and open right valve, I get drips of water droplets.

that means my right valve got problem right?

edit: my right valve are those two prongs ones which flow to two outlets

Unable to upload picture. But I think the water pressure for my tap drops after I change from a one-way valve to a two-way valve... :(

Your problem seems to be electrical that failed to protect your appliances rather than the Joven heater itself. If you do not look into this, there might be future occurences as well.
Joven storage heater failing less than a year is unlikely.

My house joven water heater also had the same issue after about 7yrs of using.

Recently have been asking around a few shops and have been getting reviews that joven heaters have high chance of breaking down within 2 yrs.

Well you just add me to the count my Joven died within 7months.

But really, does everyone's heater drip by the relief valve too? Or is it the newer flat directly plug to drain pipe nobody's aware of it dripping

What was it that was spoilt?
A leak? The heating element?
Did you guys leave the switch / heater on?
Use it often?

Been using Rheem for over 13 years, no issues. Low mounted on floor.

Relative also using Rheem for over 25 years, only complaint was it now takes longer to heat up, but still usable. High mounted near ceiling.

Just wondering... all those reporting their storage tank heaters spoiling - the heaters are mounted up high on ceiling/walls or low mounted on floor?

Haha lol. Mine is the older model can last longer, according to 1 of those companies. Now newer models break down very fast, less reliable.

Not sure about that issue, need to ask experts :)

@Chalkycliffs I believe for hdb flats most heaters r mounted high up ceiling?

Hi all got heater question on my resale flat. It comes with a storage heater in common toilet which supplies heated water to both common n master toilet. There are heater switches outside both toilets. But only the one outside common toilet seem to control the heater. Can I change to both switch control the heater? Eg so long as either switch is on then the heater will turn on. Thanks
