Rheem water heater is very lasting. In my previous condo, I used for close to 20 years before it started leaking..Looking for storage water heaters, but Joven apparently is not easily available due to M'sia shutdown. Was recommended 717 25L model instead?
Wanted Joven cos previous house used it for >8 years without issues, haven't used 717 before - any opinions? Thanks
Thanks. I'll add that to my list to check outRheem water heater is very lasting. In my previous condo, I used for close to 20 years before it started leaking..
In 2018, my ariston 30L water heater no power light after 3+ yr. I found that the rod thermostat was set to maximum temp instead at the 2 dots indicated. (The contractor that installed the water heater incompetent?)My previous ariston 30Litre storage heater lasted more than 10 years which I find quite good . When I was looking for replacement. I find out that the market price for the plumber to do the installation is not cheap. It was at least min standard $180 across. Went to hoe kee, Sim siang Choon and all told me the same thing. Even a direct model replacement without modifying the water pipe inlet out to the heater also charged the same place. That why I find from my old 30 litres upgraded to 40 litres to AOS heater is quite worth it.
Champs is reliable and reasonably priced, can get one less than $150. Installation normally cost $80.Would fellow members recommend cheap and reliable instant water heater with installation? Appreciate! thank you!

Loud boom and you still use the water heater? why.......currently using champs instant water heater with rainshower, bought in 2019.. there was a loud boom and my electricity short circuit this morning when I switch on the water heater.. after a while, I reset and the heater is working well again... Should I change the water heater to avoid another short circuit or getting electrocuted?
Not sure if the boom is from the switch or heater.. but both working fine nowLoud boom and you still use the water heater? why.......
