Nice. Thanks for the report and confirmation that IPv6 is available from SIMBA 10Gbps plan.

Need to get report from those using 2.5Gbps plan as well to confirm that they have IPv6 as well.

Does that mean there's still CGNAT issue?

Not an expert in IPv6, but this may be a good video to watch to bypass CGNAT limitations, for one of the use cases -- self hosting.

Note: this video is more for adavnced users.

- Using IPv6 only
- Using Cloudflare Tunnels
- Using SNID (sni daemon) - https://github.com/AGWA/snid
- Using HAProxy to forward TCP and TLS traffic
- Using Tayga to port-forward from IPv4 to IPv6
- Using Wireguard along with port-forwarding and NAT across the tunnel

Take note many users may not be worried about CGNAT. After all, VQ/MR are also using CGNAT and many of the users there do not subscribe to the static IPv4 add-on.

Main problems are for those with use cases like remote access back to home, or hosting services, or using P2P applications (torrenting), or need port forwarding.

Gaming may not be affected in reality as the routing may be more important (eg: MR CGNAT may be better than Singtel public IPv4 for gaming).

References about CGNAT: CGNAT is actually quite common among ISPs.

I just signed up their 10GBps plan and am from North East
After my appointment with NLT is completed on 6 Aug where the technician found out one of the fiber cable is broken/damaged. He is kind enough to help me repaired it. On 7 Aug, Simba confirmed that Netlink has activated my FTP. I didn't opt for installation service since everything is plug n play. I just removed the previous ISP router and replaced it with the new Simba router. The rest of the set up remains unchanged. I'm using Google nest wifi as the main router and a 1st generation Google wifi as a secondary mesh router.

Tested the speed, achieved less than 500mbps using wifi.

That is actually normal WiFi speed with Google Nest or Google WiFi which is only capable of 1G wired and less using wireless.

You may want to carry out the test using wired connection. USB 3 to 2.5G adapter is not expensive if you do not have 2.5G capable devices.

It is more expensive to test 10G if you do not have existing 10G capable devices.

If you have doubts, better play safe and stay with M1. I would venture to say new M1 2.5Gbps plan is much better than SIMBA 10Gbps for your use cases.
TP-Link Tapo should still work as it uses TP-Link web services (no matter you pay for Tapo Care or not).

No idea about Dahua CCTV, If you need to carry out port forwarding now, then it will not work under SIMBA CGNAT.
As for your Asus ZenWiFi XD5, that will still work but you may need to upgrade to a 10G capable router to fully utlize the bandwidth. ZenWiFi XD5 is a low end mesh solution from Asus which is only good for 1Gbps plans.
I am still on M1 500mbps aldy more than 7yrs so far so gd.
Still dare not ventured

I for sure don't have the necessary hardwares to enjoy the high speed internet. I'm not complaining since my usage is just emails, web browsing and YouTube videos. I don't play online games.

Dahua DVR/NVR using P2P can work as normal . no need to do port forwarding

Simba is the same as M1 I think it only provide ONT and u have to connect your own wireless router to the ONT.
I think you can use back asus router but will be limit to 1gbps.

You can directly access internet when plug in without wireless router.

https://support.simba.sg/hc/en-us/a...-there-a-router-provided-with-SIMBA-Broadband

Get your own wireless router.

Hi all, i got 2 questions.

1) typically can i know how long will it take for simba to contact us to set the nlt activation appt and collection of the ont upon registration and payment ?

2) Mainly use internet for Torrenting and playing Valorant, don't care about anything else,
would Simba be ok for those usage ?

Thank you in advance !
