Please read Post #2, #3, #4, #8 and #10 for more details.

One important development in 2025 -- Starhub is now #1 and the market is getting more competitive.
Starhub (including MR and eight, but eight is new) is now #1 in Consumer Fibre Internet Market, taking over Singtel's #1 position. Starhub is struggling in the mobile market and it will lose its #2 position once the merger of SIMBA and M1 got the approval and complete later. But for Consumer Fibre Broadband, it will still hold #1 postion as SIMBA has negligible market share in the Fibre Broadband market.

1. Recommendation for ISP Plans to Go
Updates for Year 2025/2026. The following are just my personal opinion. YMMV.
1) For existing users of any ISPs: no switching of ISP unless if you got issues or you got good offers from the other ISPs.
This is even true for Singtel users -- if you are fine with your Singtel Fibre internet plan using ONR, no need to change, even though I do not recommend new users to go with Singtel because of the use of ONR and relatively higher cost compared to other ISPs.
However, as per the updates from Singtel thread on 12-Dec-2024, Singtel does not allow recontract of ONT based plan (legacy 1Gbps plan) any more -- it is better for Singtel ONT users who want to keep using ONT with their own router to consider switching to other ISPs using ONT.
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/singtel-1-gbps-fibre.5930834/page-253
2) Recommendation for new sign-up:
You should go through Post #3 to see which plan you like better. Post #2 and Post #4 are worth reading as well.
Typically I will recommend M1 or Starhub to new sign-ups.
3) For Dual ISP users:
ST+WC combination is not recommended because WC uses ST infrastructure.
SH+eight combination is not recommended since eight is a subsidiary of Starhub and use Starhub infrastructure.
SH+MR (or MR + eight) may not be recommended since SH/MR seem to be merging the backend.
II. Details of ISP Fibre Internet offerings
1. SingTel : (2Gbps/3Gbps/5Gbps/10Gbps plan, legacy 500Mbps/1Gbps/2.5Gbps plan)
Public IPv4: yes, no static add-on
Updated on 12-Dec-2024, Singtel does not allow recontract of ONT based plan (legacy 1Gbps plan) any more -- it is better for Singtel ONT users who want to keep using ONT with their own router to consider switching to other ISPs using ONT.

Update on 18-Feb-2025: Singtel now offers XGS-PON ONR bridging at S$10 per month.
Updated on 1-Nov-2025, Singtel stops to entertain ONR bridging request, they have changed the terms and conditions to mention the following:
"Bridge Mode is temporarily not supported on this plan and there can be no reversion to previous plans that offered “Bridge Mode”.
You may be able to bridge the GPON or XGS-PON ONR by yourself. Proceed at your own risk. YMMV.
Legacy ONT users: the user is able to configure native IPv6 on their own router. Singtel VLAN settings need to be done for Fibre Internet and Singtel TV Box (if any).
ONR users: Native IPv6 (/56) is availble and but ONR users may not be configured with native IPv6 by default. You have to request Singtel to provision it. Please refer to the following thread.
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/singtel-5gbps-ipv6.7053976/
Singtel 2Gbps plan: aggregated 2Gbps, must use Singtel GPON ONR.
Singtel 2.5Gbps plan (only offered to some recontract customers previously) : aggregated 2.5Gbps, must use Singtel GPON ONR.
Singtel 3Gbps/5Gbps/10Gbps plan: use XGS-PON ONR, 1 x 10G LAN port and 4 x 1G LAN ports. Take note these plans are all using XGS-PON ONR.
Strong points: very stable, may have some advantages in terms of routing to China.
Some users may want to go with the Entertainment bundles with Fibre Internet and Singtel TV / Singtel Cast.

2. Starhub (UltraSpeed 3Gbps/5Gbps/10Gbps, legacy 500Mbps/1Gbps/2Gbps plans)
Public IP, ONT, no vlan needed. With native dual stack IPv6 (/64 only)
Starhub legacy 2Gbps plan: ONT port 1 and ONT port 3 used to deliver 2x1Gbps connection, ONT port 2 for legacy Starhub Fibre TV.
Starhub UltraSpeed 3Gbps/5Gbps/10Gbps plan: using XGS-PON ONT now.
(Note: please check out the bundled router which may be subjected to change)
3Gbps --> ONT + HB410
5Gbps --> ONT + HB710
10Gbps --> ONT + EB810v or HB710
HomeHub+ 5Gbps/10Gbps plans --> ONT + HB710 or EB810v
Update on 27-Feb-2025: Starhub gets rid of the XGS-PON ONR based plans from public websites, but there may still be ONR based 5Gbps plan in the hidden links, or from 3rd party dealers. By now in Jan 2026 the Nokia XS-2426X-A ONR should be gone. Existing users of Nokia XS-2426X-A ONR can also request Starhub to replace the ONR with ONT.
Starhub HomeHub+ Plans: TV and Fibre Internet bundle:

3. M1 (3Gbps, 6Gbps and 10Gbps plans, legacy 500Mbps/2Gbps/1Gbps/2.5Gbps plan)
https://www.m1.com.sg/home-broadband
Public IPv4, ONT, no vlan needed. Native dual stack IPv6 (/64 only).
M1 legacy 2Gbps plan: ONT port 1 and ONT port 2 used to deliver 2x1Gbps connection.
Update on 8-Aug-2024: M1 replace M1 2Gbps plan with the true 2.5Gbps plan.
Update on 6-Sept-2024: M1 no longer offers 500Mbps plan to new users.
No more static IPv4 add-on as per reports.
Updated on 6-June-2025: M1 has a new 10Gbps plan which comes with all-in-one ONR (including WiFi 6). This is highly not recommended.
https://shop.m1.com.sg/fbb/plans-bundles/fbb-plan?plan=HOMEPAC_10GBPS_ONR_24
Updated on 1-Oct-2025: M1 has removed 1Gbps and 2.5Gbps plan.
4. MyRepublic (HyperSpeed and Gamer 10Gbps, legacy 3Gbps normal and gamer plans).
https://myrepublic.net/sg/broadband/
Using ONT
Carrier Grade NAT, no public IP by default. You can pay one time charge of S$51 for the Static IP.
No IPv6.
MR Gamer plans are perceived to have good speed and lower latency by some users. MR Gamer Plans may have the lowest latency to China.
MR 3Gbps/10Gbps plans are using XGS-PON ONT.
Updated on 11-Feb-2026: MR removed 3Gbps plans from the offerings.
5.Viewquest (10Gbps XGS-PON based plan with bridged ONR or XGS-PON ONU stick, 3Gbps plan).
Using CGNAT by default. You need to pay for static IP add-on to get public IPv4 address (monthly charges apply).
Free Working IPv6 upon request.
Recontract users may have options to upgrade to 3Gbps/10Gbps plan at reduced pricing.
VQ is also perceived by some users to have good performance. But some users have reported stability issues.
